Wild Woolly Handmade is a small, home based business located in Kanata-Stittsville, Ontario. For the holiday season, we focus on making small batch, natural, hand crafted soaps that people love for gift giving and as stocking stuffers. We began making natural soap for ourselves and our family as most commercial soaps contain harsh chemicals and remove the natural glycerin. Our goal was to make really moisturizing, gentle soap with the best ingredients available. Since then, we’ve never skimped on ingredients and source out the most natural, most luxurious butters and oils. And, we keep the glycerin in our soap! Hand crafted soaps are purer, more moisturizing, gentler and more environmentally friendly than commercial soaps.

We try our best to source the best natural & organic ingredients available. Our Shea butter is bought from Baraka Supplies, a Canadian business which buys natural, organic, unprocessed Shea butter harvested by women in Ghana. We like that we are supporting these women, their families and communities, and that it is helping create sustainable employment and reduce poverty in Ghana.

We try our best to source our ingredients locally and support Canadian companies. Honey and beeswax used in our balms and lotion bars are from Ontario beekeepers. Some botanicals come from our own garden. Most of our suppliers are Canadian companies.
